Robert E. Lee Monument (New Orleans, Louisiana)

The Robert E. Lee monument in New Orleans was constructed atop a 60ft column and the statue itself is almost 16.5 ft tall. It faces north and features Lee looking towards the north with his arms crossed. It was removed in 2017 after several instances of white supremacy culminated in the shooting of 9 Black parishioners.
