Gate City Courthouse Plaque (Kingsport, Virginia)


Confederate

Erected by the Sons of Confederate Veterans on October 16th, 1988, the Gate City Courthouse Plaque commemorates the Confederate soldiers of Scott County, Virginia. The monument consists of a bronze plaque that reads the dedication mounted upon a brick wall atop a concrete base. As the monument was funded and created by the Sons of Confederate Veterans, a private organization, the cost of the monument and other details were not released to the public.
