To All Confederates Monument (Belmont Estates, Virginia)

Confederate

Located in a quiet corner of a cemetery in the town of Mount Jackson Virginia, the "To All Confederates" monument was erected in 1903 by the Mount Jackson Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The cemetery was once the site of a Confederate hospital that provided vital care to the soldiers fighting in the Appalachian region of Virginia. The statue depicts a generic Confederate soldier in a moment of grief, looking down with his arms crossed. There are many other symbols featured on the monument including a flag surrounded by a laurel wreath as well as the Confederate battle flag in the middle of what appears to be an iron cross.
