"Frank N. Fox
1842 - 1925 When the Civil War broke out in 1861, enlisted in the 24th Reg. Wis. Vol. Inf. Participated in all the battles in which his regiment was engaged.
Was wounded at the Battle of Chic[k]amauga Ga. Sept. 19. 1863.
Again sever[e]ly wounded at the Battle of Resaca GA. May 14, 1864. Returned to Milwaukee with his regiment at the end of the war."
